SOLUTION + EXECUTION
Dedicated "New Member Earning" Category
We introduced a distinct, high-visibility category within the Lincoln Access Rewards dashboard tailored specifically for freshly onboarded members.
Contextual Onboarding Cards: Designed dynamic hero cards that surfaced personalized next steps directly on the home screen based on the user's registration stage.
Frictionless Preference Collection: Replaced lengthy forms with interactive, visual choice chips (e.g., preferred pickup/delivery times, lifestyle interests, preferred Lincoln Concierge channels).
Instant Value Demonstration: Created clear visual progress trackers and celebratory micro-interactions that immediately reflected earned reward points upon completing each section.
Integrated Vehicle Linkage: Streamlined the process of pairing vehicle features (e.g., Phone As A Key, Lincoln Connect) with loyalty status milestones.
Accelerated Early Activation: Significant increase in early member interactions within the first 30 days post-vehicle delivery.
Higher Preference Capture: Drove marked improvements in completed customer profiles, equipping CRM teams with actionable preference data for hyper-personalized communications.
Strengthened Brand Perception: Successfully introduced an earning mechanic that users perceived as a premium, value-add service rather than a generic promotional scheme.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
To deepen customer loyalty and increase post-purchase engagement for new luxury vehicle owners, we launched a dedicated New Member Earning Category within the Lincoln Access Rewards ecosystem.
The strategic initiative focused on activating key behavioral KPIs early in the customer lifecycle by encouraging members to complete profile details and vehicle preferences, while maintaining Lincoln's elevated, customer-centric luxury narrative.
THE CHALLENGE
When clients purchase or lease a new luxury Lincoln vehicle, their initial digital sentiment is exceptionally high. However, traditional loyalty programs often suffer from post-onboarding dormancy, missing the critical window to build habit-forming engagement.
For Lincoln Access Rewards, two major challenges emerged:
Low Preference Capture: New members were registering their accounts but bypassing profile setup, leaving the brand without the rich preference data required to deliver personalized luxury touchpoints.
Generic Loyalty Perception: Standard transactional loyalty frameworks (e.g., "earn points on oil changes") felt utilitarian and disconnected from Lincoln’s "Effortless Sanctuary" brand positioning.
